What to say when you book
- ‘I would like to book an English consultation with Dr. Chu-Chun Liang.’
- Briefly state the main concern: varicose veins, leg swelling, a dialysis access problem, or another vascular symptom.
- Tell the clinic if symptoms are sudden or urgent. Do not use routine booking for chest pain, shortness of breath, a cold painful limb or uncontrolled bleeding.
What to bring
- Passport, ARC and National Health Insurance card if applicable
- A list or photo of your current medications and allergies
- Previous ultrasound, CT, angiography or operation reports
- Dialysis access records if the concern involves a fistula or graft
- Comfortable clothing that allows the affected arm or leg to be examined
What happens during the visit?
Dr. Liang will first listen to the symptom that concerns you most, examine the affected limb, and explain which tests are helpful. Ultrasound may be arranged when reflux, a blood clot, narrowing or another vascular problem is suspected.
You can ask about treatment choices, recovery, anaesthesia, compression, work, exercise and follow-up in English.

Does Dr. Liang speak English?
Yes. Dr. Chu-Chun Liang provides consultations in English and Chinese.
Do I need a referral?
Requirements can differ by institution and insurance arrangement. Contact the selected clinic directly before your visit.
Is Taiwan National Health Insurance accepted?
Coverage and registration rules depend on the institution, your eligibility and the service provided. Ask the clinic when booking.
Can a family member come with me?
Usually yes, subject to the institution’s current visitor policy. A support person can help with questions and treatment decisions.
